I am so very proud to count Jared (Yared) Armstrong as one of my congregants!  He cares so deeply about his Judaism, about Israel, and creating lifelong connections between the African American and Jewish communities.  In his fight to obtain Israeli citizenship, he bravely confronted bureaucratic racism, and fought it with justice (tsedek) and perseverance (hatmadah), making many friends and allies along the way. Jared passionately believes in Black and Jewish children, hoping to use the shared language of sports to break down barriers and build much-needed bridges, all in the hope of building a better future.
