  • Each team must have a minimum of 3 players and may consist of a maximum of 5 players.

  • During the regular season tournament a team who has only 2 players may play, but the Win will be awarded to the opposing team.

  • In the case that both teams only have 2 players, the Winner will be decided as normal.

Scoring:

  • For all divisions, the first team to 21 points within the 20-minute time limit is the winner.

  • Baskets made from inside the 2-point arch count for 2 points. Baskets made from outside the 3-point arch count for 3 points

Overtime:

  • 1st Overtime, winner after an additional 2 minutes,

  • 2nd Overtime, 1st team to score wins.

Fouls:

  • Basketball officials, acting as court monitors will call fouls for all the games.

  • If the fouled player is in the “act of shooting” a 2-point shot, which is missed, that player will be awarded 2 free throw shots. The same will occur if a player is fouled in the “act of shooting” a 3-point shot, which is missed, that player will be awarded 3 free throw shots.

  • Intentional, Technical or Flagrant foul will result in one free throw and possession of the ball.

Change of Possession:

  • The ball must change possession after scored baskets and after all free throw attempts, make or miss. Only exception to the rule is after a Intentional, Technical or Flagrant foul.

  • There is no “Make it, take it” rule.

‘Check Ball’ and ‘Taking it back’:

  • The ball must be “checked” by an opposing player behind the 3-point line before put into play. The ball must then be passed to begin play. The pass may occur anywhere on the court, but the on ball defender must remain behind the 3-point line.

  • The ball will be “taken back” on each change of possession, regardless whether or not a shot was attempted. Failure to “take it back” will result in a loss of possession and any points just scored.

  • A defensive rebound must be taken back past the 3 point line (this includes airballs).

  • Following a made basket or dead ball, the other team must check the back anywhere behind the 3-point line.

  • Both feet and the ball must cross the 3-point line at the change of possession.

  • A ball that goes out of bounds under the basket is checked in behind the 3-point line.

Subs and Timeouts:

  • Substitutions may only be made during a timeout or “dead ball” situation.

  • Each team is allowed a single one minute timeout per game and one additional 30 second timeout if the game goes into any Overtimes. The clock will stop during timeouts.

Stealing:

  • Players in all divisions may steal the ball when it is being passed.

Jump Balls:

  • Defense gets all jump balls.

Stalling:

  • No Stalling. There will be a ref’s discretion 30-second shot clock. Failure to shoot in 30-second period will result in a loss of possession.

  • All teams advance to the playoffs. The seeding will be determined by Overall records from the season tournament.

  • League shirts should be worn.

  • At the end of the game, we encourage good sportsmanship to shake hands with your opponents.
